The Coastal Zone Color Scanner Browse Program was designed to provide a
researcher with the ability to quickly search the entire Level-2 CZCS
data set and to instantly view the color-coded phytoplankton pigment
fields that meet the search criteria. The browse images are displayed at
4km resolution which is generally sufficient to resolve most of the
features of interest. If the researcher feels that a selected scene
warrants further investigation, the program provides for the generation
of an order file which can be sent electronically to the NASA archive
where the digital data are copied and sent to the requestor.
