                          WHAT IS ISIS?
 
ISIS (Integrated System for Information Services) is a computerized
catalog containing the MOST CURRENT bibliographic citations for books,
reports, maps, journals/periodicals, audiovisuals, CD-ROMs, software,
and other materials added to the National Agricultural Library (NAL)
collections.  For materials published prior to 1966, consult the card
catalog if not found in ISIS.
 
ISIS also serves as an agricultural union catalog that includes
bibliographic citations for materials of the U.S. National Arboretum
Library and the five USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Regional
Libraries: Eastern Regional Research Center, National Center for
Agricultural Utilization Research, Russell Research Center, Southern
Regional Research Center,and Western Regional Research Center. Records
from cooperating libraries are added on an ongoing basis. THEIR
PUBLICATIONS MAY OR MAY NOT BE IN THE NAL COLLECTION.
