Virginia, United States Description:A small literary and general publisher located outside of Washington, D.C., Orchises Press publishes five to eight books a year and has currently a list of roughly one hundred twenty titles, many of them original poetry, a love of the editor, Roger Lathbury. Unlike many other presses, small and large, Orchises formerly read unsolicited manuscripts and tried to publish books on their merit, both literary and commercial, but this policy has been altered.
