"One of the oldest book publishers in the West. We've been producing trade titles for 72 years. In 1925, most book publishers were located in the eastern United States. Caxton owner, J.H. Gipson, realized it was difficult for new writers, particularly those in the West, to attract the attention of the eastern presses. Gipson founded the publishing division to give those writers a voice."
